Miracosta and Bakersfield College faced off on the sand, this past Friday, February 10, 2023. Both beach volleyball programs visited the campus of El Camino College, in Redondo Beach. Miracosta being around 2 hours south (in San Diego), and Bakersfield, approx. 2 hours north of this neutral location. (Both programs would also square off against El Camino on this day)
Part 1 of the Miracosta Spartans vs. the Renegades of Bakersfield College.
Featured: the 3’s, of Eden Thomas (#2) and Riley Komo (#21) from Miracosta, who were defeated by Samantha Villanueva/Reenah Sullivan of Bakersfield. The match went 3 sets, with Thomas/Komo winning the first. Â
Also action from the 4’s: with Haley Tedrow/Emily Flores of the Renegades defeating Hazel Veteto (#4) and Ryanne Davis (#11), in 3 sets as well,  21-10, 11-21, & 6-15. These two wins would be the only ones for Bakersfield, as they would lose this overall matchup, 3-2 to Miracosta College.
