Our gallery from the action in the finals of the CBVA Women’s A Tournament, on August 27, 2023 is below. Manhattan Beach was the location, for yet another great weekend of beach volleyball in Southern California.
All month long really, MB was the place to be for beach volleyball fans. It started with the 2023 Charlie Saikley 6 man, aka the best weekend of the year. Then, what is referred to as the Granddaddy of the AVP Tour, the Manhattan Beach Open took place mid August. Many in attendance witnessed beach volleyball history.
August would be capped by the CBVA women’s AA & A Tournament and we were there – Here are highlights of the Finals between Candice Palmer & Rachel Miller vs. Nataliya Vinnikova & Aleksandra Peretiatko –
We ‘just missed’ match point but Candice Palmer did not. Pretty entertaining Finals here between some very talented ballers. Nataliya & Aleksandra from Ukraine, and Palmer & Miller from Hope International’s Beach volleyball team. For those who don’t know usually these CBVA games are first to 28. This one would end 32-30, with the duo from HUI emerging with a W and earning AA rankings.
